About Verda
Verda was founded through the collaboration of Jessica Boekhoudt, Stephan Mourits, and Wim Nienhuis. All three are register accountants with a strong background in sustainability. Jessica and Wim each established their own ESG consultancy firms, while Stephan serves as an ESG partner at an accounting firm. Together, they combine their former experience at Big Four accounting firms with handson expertise in sustainability.
This makes them a highly qualified team with a pragmatic work ethic, dedicated to providing reliable assurance on sustainability reporting and related matters.

Wim Nienhuis
Wim gained his accounting experience and obtained the RA title in the national audit practice at Deloitte. After that, he held director roles at AgroFair and the Boerman Group. He is currently co-owner of and working at Cooperate Green, ESG consultant and assurance provider. He brings his enthusiastic personality, as well as his experience as an accountant and manager, to his role as a consultant. As an official NBA intervision coach, he facilitates sessions where professionals share their knowledge—benefiting everyone involved.
Jessica Boekhoudt
Jessica is the founder of Data For Better, which helps companies make forward-thinking, sustainable decisions based on high-quality data. As a qualified chartered accountant with a strong background in finance and sustainability, she founded the company to bridge the gap between these fields and enable businesses to make data-driven choices that benefit profit, people, and the planet.
Stephan Mourits
Stephan acts as a sparring partner for clients on sustainability, known for his creative yet pragmatic approach in translating complex challenges into clear, actionable solutions. With the introduction of CSRD regulations, this has become a key focus of his work.
Previously, he worked as a business controller, analyzing business processes and translating insights into financial results. Combined with his background as an external auditor, this gives him a sharp eye for detail and ensures his advice stands up to regulatory scrutiny.
